UMC Brunswick offers TWO major educational opportunities for children every Sunday, and many for the Adults!

September through May:

9:30-10:30 am Sunday School for All Ages

10:45-11:45 LIVE BIG: a one-room schoolhouse style curriculum for ages 4 and up following the Children's Message at the 10:30 worship service

Both class times feature our excellent teachers, great stories, fun crafts, and even delicious snacks. Join us for one or both of these educational opportunities every week!

Christian Education

Our church family seeks spiritual growth through the study of God's word and the sharing of experiences. From the smallest child learning that "Jesus loves me" on through adults who may be struggling with "love your enemy," or just discovering the joys of the Christian journey, spiritual growth is a continuing process.

God has given us excellent classroom facilities for Christian education. More importantly, God has given us dedicated church family members who serve as teachers, program coordinators, and leaders of our education and spiritual growth programs.

Live Big

Live Big continues the year during the 10:30 church service. It starts right after the children's sermon. The children leave the main sanctuary for another part of the church in explore and expand their faith with Live Big!

Church School Learning Opportunities:

Youth Sunday School Classes: On Sunday mornings, September through May, we offer classes for children age 2 through grade 12. Teachers work in teams and offer age appropriate curriculum and fun in all classes! Classes begin at 9:30 am.

Nursery Care: Nursery Care for children ages 3 and younger is provided by our nursery caregiver. During our regular worship schedule, the nursery is open from 9:00am - 12:00pm.

Adult Sunday School Classes: Adult Sunday School classes are offered, September through May, on Sunday mornings. We cover a variety of topics, each lasting for a set number of weeks. For all class listings updates, please contact the office at207-725-2185. Classes begin at 9:30 am and will be held in the Chapel. Weekday Bible Study and Communion: This group meets on Wednesday mornings, September through June, at 9 am for communion, followed by refreshments and Bible Study from 9:30-10:30. This study is led by Rosemary Word and covers a variety of topics throughout the year.

Youth Fellowship: Once per month or more, youth in grades 6-12 will have the opportunity to participate in a fun fellowship, learning, or service event.
